  • Pajama Day 2011

    Students wore their favorite pajamas and enjoyed working and reading with guest readers as well.

  • Veterans Honored 11-11-11

    5th Grade students entertained and sang in honor of our Veterans. A breakfast was served prior to the outstanding performance.

  • First Grade Visits Hatcher Gardens

    First Grade culminated a unit study on plants as living things. We took a tour at Hatcher Gardens and some even had Mrs. Hatcher Henderson as their guide.We learned about plants and the history of the gardens.

  • Fire Safety with North Spartanburg Fire Department

    The North Spartanburg Fire Department came to FES to remind us about fire safety. We all need a family plan: check batteries in smoke detectors, where to go in case of a fire, and what to do if there is a fire. Thank you NSFD!

  • Jump Rope for Heart with a Twist

    Students raised money for Heart Disease and had a blast jumping ropes, hoola hooping, waving rythmn sticks, shooting balls into baskets, and running over obstacles.

  • Let The Force Be With You and Science

    We learned about pushing, pulling, force, friction, and speed. We pushed and pulled our ice cream for a tasty demonstration. We discovered that golfing can be Science fun as well if you use the right amount of force to push and pull the putter.

  • Digis in the Classroom

    Discovering math concepts using Digi Blocks is a fun way to learn counting, estimating, place value, and more.

  • Farmer's Day 2011

    Fairforest Students enjoyed supporting Dorman Senior High as they dressed in their Farmer's attire.

  • Holy Cow A Field Day 2011

    Fun was had by students and teachers on Field Day. Students participated in Fun "Farm/Cow" relay races, ate lunch outside, played on the playground, and enjoyed inflatables bouncing, sliding, and getting wet.

  • Mother's Day Breakfasts 2011

    Two mornings were enjoyed by our K-2 and 3-5 Moms. Cafeteria, PTO, and faculty members graciously provided, supplied, and served Moms of FES students. Moms, remember you were our First Teachers!

  • Spring Carnival 2011

    PTO Volunteers,teachers, and Boys and Girls Club Counselors worked hard to make this year's Spring Carnival a success. The children seemed to have a blast.

  • Our #1 Boys and Girls Club Basketball Team!

    Our Boys and Girls Club basketball team and cheerleaders made Fairforest proud. Playing three games in the inaugural tournament, they secured the championship trophy!

  • Greenville Drive Reading All Stars

    The Fairforest Family had a strong representation at the annual Greenville Drive Reading All Stars game. Our students certainly enjoyed their well earned baseball game!

  • Earth Materials in Science Lab

    First graders studied rocks. We investigated how rocks change from boulders to sand and soil.

  • Career Day 2011

    Students dressed up in their choice careers. Visitors shared their jobs with FES students.

  • Fabulous Fathers' Breakfast 2011

    PTO and the faculty and staff at FES invited fathers to come enjoy breakfast with their children. This has become a well attended event at FES.

  • First Grade Math and Science Fun and Learning

    First Grade has learned about the Moon and Earth in Science and graphing in Math.

  • International Day 2011

    Teachers and guests shared with the students various facts about many countries. Teachers were dressed in traditional clothing from countries they are from or they have visited.

  • Academy Sports Bike Assembly K & 1

    Academy Sports donated 30 bikes to 30 Kindergarten and First Grade students. 30 lucky children had their names drawn and were given a new bike and safety helmet.
